Doll repairs. HELP!!!

I have an older doll that has some of her stitching coming off.
Around the leg joint the fabric is separating.
The fabric and the plastic are intact, but the stitching is coing off.
Also, she needs new lashes.
Do you know of anybody that takes care of this kinds of boo-boos?
She is an early PM, so the hospital is out of the question, and I have tried doing lashes with disgusting results (sigh!)
I would appreciate any help!

My first choice would be Angie, gillygals.com. She is about 7 weeks from delivering her baby though, so she may not be able to take on the project right now. She does a great job on restorations and customs. She did beccachris' Emma, the Molly with the short black wig. I LOVE that one.

I haven't used this gal, but her work appears to be really great. I think Taffy has used her; perhaps he'll check in later.

For sleep eye lashes, I have had good luck buying lashes at craft stores.The are long and stiff and come on an adhesive strip.
I trim the lashes shorter and feather them out a bit by flexing them, so they are not so stiff.
Next, I cut the adhesive stip down to a very narrow strip holding the lashes together.I use tweezers and the back of an exacto craft knife to press the strip down into the slit the original lashes came out of.
For a PM doll, lashes intended for human use might be prettier.You could probably use a similar method.
Make sure you use something like tacky glue, superglue will ruin a dolls eye pretty fast if you are not careful.Good luck!

I had the same problem of fabric separating from the leg joint with the ebay Samantha fixer upper I got recently. I unstuffed her---took the leg off and carefully restitched the leg joint to the fabric using the same holes in the vinyl where the original stitches had been. I used regular tan sewing thread and a regular needle. It was a bit tedious and I did break a needle in the process, but I was pleased with the final result. I think the fabric is joined to the leg joint securely now. Then I put the leg back on using Taffy's restringing instructions on Maria's Justmagicdolls site. I don't know a thing about lashes!
